Annually, immobility and physically one-sided strenuous work cause substantial costs in the form of musculoskeletal disorders resulting in sickness absences. Break exercise has been shown to reduce passivity and musculoskeletal disorders. The involvement of a supervisor and an encouraging attitude towards break exercise have been seen as particularly important in promoting it. Development activities focusing on break exercise are well suited to work ability management implemented proactively at Siun Sote. The purpose of this development work, led by immediate supervisors, was to increase self-awareness among Siun Sote office workers about the disadvantages of long-term static work and to inspire them to reduce the workload on the musculoskeletal system. The development task was to create a tool for work ability management that is based on the FasciaMethod concept. Thus, a break exercise bank with instructions was created for the use of immediate supervisors of office services. The thesis was implemented as a research development activity and constructive approach was applied. Based on the previous literature, it was investigated what type of break exercise bank with fascial exercises would support functional ability in office workers. As a result, a bank with 12 break exercises, including the instructions, was created for the use of immediate supervisors. The trial period of the exercise bank in Siun Sote office services lasted three months, after which information on the functionality of the exercise bank was collected through a final survey aimed at the pilot group and immediate supervisors....
